OT:Big bead book

while at costco today, my hubby, (sweetheart that he is) bought me a copy of this huge bead book.. It's a compilation of 5 other bead books... it's called Big Book of Beautiful Beads

many good photos, much detailed instruction on everything beady (well, except for MAKING beads..)

It's cool! Check it out next time you're trying to get out of there for under $100. Haw haw.. like that ever happens!! It's only 13 bucks.

Okay, I definitely need to make a trip to Costco. I hope ours has this. Can you tell us which 5 books make it up?

I saw that the other day! Hubby works for Costco main office, so we are there a LOT. I looked through the book and I love all the yummy pics! Nice, big book for the price.

WOW! I am a total Costco junkie, and it's one of the big holes in my life that I can't go there as often as I used to. We bought our Costco membership the first day that the Costco opened near our home, and we've been fixtures there ever since. Everyone at our local Costco knows me, and all the women employees have bracelets.

They were so sweet when I had my surgery -- one of the women arranged a prayer vigil for me, so DH had to call them right afterward to tell them I was okay. Everyone thinks it's wierd that people at one of my favorite stores held a prayer vigil for me. I think it's sweet. It totally freaks out my mom that I get a zillion "Hi Kathy's!" whenever we go there. (heh, heh, heh)

I'll definitely have to go pick up the bead book. Unfortunately, I am totally unable to go into Costco without dropping a hundred bucks. :-)

We don't have a Costco :-( but I got to go for the first time ever with my daughter in Northern Virginia this weekend. The woman in front of us had four (4!!!) carts full and spent $897.63. We only got a few things (right) so it was just over $100 ...

I am now suffering from severe Costco envy ...

Tell me about it. Ken's office is across the street from the Costco store.

**sigh** He goes like three times a week. We have a lot of bulk stuff in our house. :D

It would be way too easy to spend money on things I don't need in a place like that. We have very very few of the big stores here. And I honestly don't miss them at all.

My house is fairly small, at least it has become small since Pete and I started living together. It's about 1000 sq ft. The detatched garage has about the same square footage. The top half is all storage and the half of the bottom is a workshop. I keep finding I have way too much stuff to keep track of it, maintain it,etc. And if I had more room, I could put it in different rooms etc, but then I wouldn't see and use it. I also tend to want more only of the really good stuff. Especially art work. Or to replace (eg) the pots will a commercial grade (but not size) set.

I find that in an isolated area like this, I can get things ordered in by a store, unlike in cities. When our Fred Meyer's moved in they were OK; now that they've joined with Krogers', we have more merchandise, but fewer of the things we need.
