OT: Expression Magazine

My SIL just gifted me with a subscription to this magazine! Woohoo!

There's an article by Katherine Brown on how to make collage cigar box purses, using old stamps, photos, tintypes and old vintage sewing patterns and more.

Tink and Sooz, I think this is right up your alley. Take a look.

cut it in half, drilled a hole on each side and then hollowed the inside leaving one end intact with two holes. Taped the two pieces side by side and stamped and inked with heat set dyes and sealer spray until satisfied with the result on the cut side after cleaning them. She used a Krylon pen to paint the sides of the domino and the wooden beads.

I wondered why she hollowed the domino out because I can see this would work really well for bracelet tiles. At the end of the article, she says it's a domino with something to hide like a bus token or small change. Clever!

LOL We are the same here! What we do is pass the magazines around within the family so that they're stored at least part of the time at others' homes and we all subscribe to different magazines so it's cost effective too. Not that, that has ever stopped any of us! You know how it is though....some don't make it back. Really that's okay when you get as many as we do. Oh, and I think our mailman hates us. hehee

My other SIL the "haberdasher wannabe" gets Belle Armoire. I'm glad you mentioned it, she hasn't shared that one lately!
