Why doesn't Anne come in here and talk about this? I don't understand. We supported Starlia because she is a friend to some of us, and because we do only know one side of the story. If Anne or Melissa wanted us to talk frankly about noth sides of the story, either one of them could have come here and spoken up. This is a public group. And no names were brought up until now. I agree with Sooz - judging people completely based on one thread is ridiculous. Also - we're not children - we don't need lectures on how to behave. I personally post my opinion based on what I know, and would be happy to hear both sides of the story. But don't come in here and post a bunch of preachy talk-downs without offering more information and giving us a chance to talk about it. It's childish.

It doesn't necessarily apply to you. Just that many women tend to be people pleaser and find it hard to say no. A cultural flaw perpetrated on us.

It's so easy to want to breach a rift, you know, reach across and fill it with our own bright light. Not necessarily a big deal. But sometimes it's better to heal the rift by being happy with our own behaviour and leaving that big hole, especially when you have limited energy. Also, if we always try to make things smooth, we are not being discriminating, which both wastes energy and can also devalues our efforts by apply our gifts too equally. You know, back to, if you can't say No, you can't say Yes.

Shoot, Melissa. Did you read one post and decide everyone here is evil? There are just a handful of references to some unnamed person, and a bunch of general references to jealousy as well as people who are admired.

I have no idea who Starlia is talking about and don't care. As far as I know, she is expressing discomfort about an unnamed person. Part of being a support group is to let someone blow off steam. To let people see things differently, or even be wrong. This isn't a mutual admiration society. We have lots of opinions and sometimes conflict.

And frankly, the only actual attack I see is yours.

Yeah, that totally had me baffled.

Is Kenya Melissa your mom? (???)

But she's only been here two days. (Making snap judgments, evidently, the entire time.) ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

Yup. Then she unloaded a pile of verbal diarrhea, and went away pouting and bitter.

Starlia, is her website on the Links List? ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

Did you ever hear of a little punctuation mark called a period? Use them.

I don't think she has her website up yet. I wouldn't totally judge her based on her feelings about me. She was a friend.

But then she'd have to take a breath every once in a while and that might cause her to, you know, get some air into her brain and then that could lead to actual thoughts which aren't the usual things she has in her head because she gets so upset over things she hasn't had the time to really investigate completely because she makes major incorrect assumptions about entire groups of people and makes giant sweeping judgmental pronouncements about them in their own virtual living rooms without being introduced which is not a very smart way to go about creating change and making people listen, or even a good way to make sense but then you have to realize she was just so, so mad! ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce

I'm not. I'm making a snap judgment about her, because she did that about us.

And I'm judging her based on how she behaved, which was ill-advised and displayed a lack of thought and reason. Plus it was enbarrassing. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce
