I'm not shy for anything. Geez, my best friend and I became inseparable for almost a decade because I went up to her the first time I saw her at a professional meetings and said, "Hi! I'm Starlia. Who the hell are you?"
I know. I was totally caught off guard.
Honeybuns, I was totally caught off guard by YOU!!!...MAKING A SINK...
OMG, where do I line up???? (dh will be boggled when he finds out I want to add a sink somewhere...!)

Oh my goodness. Did you take them up on it?!?!?!?!?
I didn't know I could catch anyone off guard. I love the glass artesian sinks and think that I can add something to the mix. I want to play with enamels and glass to make stunning one of a kind pieces. It's been a goal for a couple of years.
I am taking my friend up on the offer. It's not immediate but it will be soon.
Yes I am taking her up on the offer. It's not immediate purchase but it will be soon. Of course, she wants the first sink. LOL
Rock on, Starlia! Btw, how's the ole head today?
I've felt like crap for days now. I know allergies are part of the problem but my head is really, really bad lately. I have an appointment with another specialist since my pain management doc hasn't called me back in three days.
I love glass sinks...that would be so cool. By the time I'll need one, you'll be so famous I won't be able to afford one, lol.
Haw. I'm sure you'll still be able to get it at a rock bottom price.
Starlia, I must have missed part of the thread somewhere: Are you casting the sinks or slumping/fusing. Donna and I are trying it both ways.

Here's my take on that.
Even though you don't think you were wrong about what you said, you may as well apologize graciously, because you feel that you behaved badly. That cleans your slate, so to speak, so you won't have to cringe every time you think about it, and it also puts the ball in her court. You can apologize for your behavior without in any way bringing up what it is you accused her of... you aren't apologizing for your beliefs, but for your actions. She is then free to prove or disprove anything you may have believed about her; it gives her a fresh start and puts you on equal ground. The accusations themselves can be put into the past.
You may as well be friendly and welcoming. Even if she doesn't reciprocate, at least your conscience will be clear. I say, go for it; she may turn out to be other than what she seemed, and she may find YOU to be other than what she currently believes. How many times have you known fast friends who said "Oh, we hated each other at first"?

Sinks are cool! When we remodel the bathroom, I would love to make a sink for it. My current fusing kiln is only 14" though, so I'd need to move up to something bigger first, or live with the World's Tiniest Sink.

I love all the cast and fused glass sinks! I wish I could figure out a way to justify one in our house-to-be (someday ) but it just doesn't fit very well with Spanish Colonial/Southwestern. We're looking at hammered copper for the guest bath, which will be way cool.
Anyone know any sites out there for working with sheet copper? I want to create a cover for our vent hood that will be hammered copper sheet with an acid-wash patina.

Sooz, I think you and Kalera are right. I think Kalera is right about addressing your behaviour for your own sake. And I think you are right about not needing to add that stress to your life from trying to make things "right" with someone you'd rather not waste the effort on. It's so automatic for me and many others to want everyone to love us, but it's not quite honest and it's a poor use of your limited energy.
