OT: Vibes please

All,

My grandfather is in the hospital again. He first went in on my birthday of

2003 and had a pacemaker put in, and he is back again. I won't go into all the details, but he's suffered "mini" heart attacks although the pacemaker kept it going. They want to keep him for a couple days to monitor him and see how the meds are helping him. He's a wonderful man, and still has a lot to share with the world yet. Any vibes/prayers you can spare, please direct them his way.

Heart healing vibes headed your Grandpa's way. If it's any comfort, both my grandparents have had pacemakers for a zillion years apiece, and it's really helped. Opa, who is almost 91, rides his bike every day, and plays cards with his friends a couple of days a week. Oma was very ill last year (not her heart, diabetes), and is up and about again, keeping Opa in line.

As someone who has had a bunch of mini-heart attacks, let me reassure you that they aren't really painful. I kept mistaking them for asthma. It was only later that I found out the truth.

Thanks all for the vibes and prayers. A new update I recieved this morning is that this time he will get to go to rehab (I'm not exactly sure what they will do there though...but my aunt seems to think it's a good idea), when last time it wasn't covered by Medicare since he didn't have "cardiac arrest". This time he did, so he will be covered. Does anyone know exactly what goes on in rehab for this??
