ohh, it is really pretty - no wonder you are trying to figure out how to use it! just a thought how about a double boiler - like melt it and then pour it into molds of some sort... Denise Glitzy Glass Studio

You might want to try positng on rec.crafts.jewelry or to the ganoksin.com forums. there are more fine jewelers and lapidary folks there - they may be able to assist more.

that's some lovely sap. it reminds me of what I used to pull off the choke cherry trees in my yard when I was a kid. I had whole strings of "beads" I'd made out of dried sap. The only problem was that they got a bit sticky if it was hot and humid outside.

Yeah, that sounds like this stuff. Some people suggested burning it like incense. I tried and it's really good, much better than some of that purfumy stuff. I still like pine sap for that purpose better.

Looks like amber to me! There's got to be a way to work with it.
