I bought some test tubes from American Science & Surplus a while back, and I've finally finished bedecking one with beads. You can view the results here:

I was covering the tube with amber color-lined gold beads and thought how much it resembled a pine cone. Once I had the peyote stitch done, I went nuts embelishing it with green fringe and two tiny peyote stitch pine cones. I think it's a hoot! I may also get up my nerve to try auctioning some of my pieces, too. =:-oArondelle
