Something I am proud of

Jan 13, 2006 10 Replies

I have taken up making jewellery recently and this is only my second piece, but I am very proud of. It took about 5 hours, mainly because I was doing some joins I hadn't done before and it took me a while to get the hang of it. I would appreciate it if anybody would give me an opinion on what they think! I've already shown it to a few of my friends and they like it, and I have to buy some more beads to make my mother one in another colour!

Thank you!

PS. I know I have to think of better names for the pieces!

Very pretty. I like the 2 colors of blue together vs all one color. This helps keep the eye interested.

How about "The Sky Wept"?

Thank you all for the replies! Nice to know people like them!

I've since had to change the flower in the middle, I said before that my mother wanted me to make her one, well she will want earrings too. When I ordered some more flowers it was from a different place (over here in the UK rather than in the US like before), and when they arrived they were bigger than the original ones (there were only 2 of those) so I swapped one of those in so I could use the two smaller ones for a set of earrings. Although swapping it out was more difficult than putting it in in the first place!

Oh yes, and I got a new digital camera today, much better than the last one which was quite a cheap one, so photos should be improving! That one was a bit blurry!

My daughter wishes I would make things like that! I think it's the wire work that makes me nervous. I'm never feel confident with it.

Lovely necklace.
