sort of OT: looking for lampshades

just me Wal-Mart [none at all that remotely resembled what I was looking

I see lots of lampshades and sometimes bare frames in charity shops round here...

If you are looking for just the frame, I know general bead sells them (or used to)...www.genbead.com

Can you find an online pic of what you are looking for, then we can keep an eye out?

do you have a michaels or another craft store near you (Joanns, Hobby Lobby, Ben Franklins)? They might have them? Or check out BigLots...

And as Helen suggested, I would try Goodwill/Salvation Army/other thrift stores...you never know what they have there. Some times you can find lamps with new shades, or just the shades for sale.

I saw some with adhesive stuff on it at Jo-Ann's Fabric. The prices might be a bit high there.

also check home depot/lowes.

I also found some small lampshades at Goodwill...maybe 4 or 5 inches tall. Plain, "flat" (in other words, round at the top and bottom, flat in between)...kinda like what you would use on candlestick-type lamps??? They were 99cents each.

So it should be fairly easy to find what yoiu are looking for.
