First, let me thank you for all the welcomes. I remember several years ago that I subscribed to a needlework newsgroup (RCTN) and was hardly noticed when I introduced myself. I stuck with it and occasionally made my comments and observations, many of which were pretty much ignored. And then there was a big ruckus, and I was thoroughly slammed by several who had popped in much more recently than I. Now that group is off topic probably as much as
75% of the time. How sad.
You folks, on the other hand, are master enablers. I have already picked up some pretty good ideas and have found more ways to spend my money on scrapping. I have a Ben Franklin, a Hobby Lobby (less than a half mile away), Wal-Mart about 4 miles from me, but a Super Wal-Mart will be built about a mile away within the next year or so. There's also a possibility of a Super Target not too far from the Super Wal-Mart. And, of course, there's the little scrapbooking store downtown. I have gone there a number of times, as I feel it's absolutely my duty to help keep that store going. ;-)
I am still doodling along on my mom's scrapbook. It will be finished this week, and I'll give it to her as a birthday gift this weekend. (My sister is going to tell Mom that the 12th is her birthday this year.) The scrapbook is nothing like what I've seen in the webshots and yahoo pages; it's basically pretty simple. Oh, there is that small piece of mesh, which I've turned on point to take up a little space. Yes, I bought the glue dots some of you suggested. They cost me about $30 at Hobby Lobby.
