Thanks for the welcome!

I have got to say, you guys sure have made me feel welcome! I had a bad case of the first-post shyness- but it seems to have left me. Wheeela!

Encouraged by requests to see pictures of what I do, I pulled out the digital camera today and took a few pictures. I'm still learning how to operate my digital camera (which I have had for a year or so, it's kind of sad), so i think some of the colours seem a bit off, and I photographed it outside, so the background is an ugly cement tile =) What sort of background do most of you prefer to use? I basically have to photograph outside, because the lighting inside of my house makes everything take on a dull yellow colour. Blech.

Anyways, here is a picture of the necklace I made with pearls:

We had a girl come into the shop and teach a class on wire-wrapping- I got to listen in and went home and worked on this. It's my first attempt at working with wire. My loops are still a bit funky in areas, but overall I think they are pretty good. I used 26g sterling silver wire and freshwater pearls. I'm not too keen on the clasp- it was made for a five strand dealie and I only have three. It doesn't look terrible, but it does bug me. And those coin pearls that look kind of greeney-blue? They're not. I have no idea what happened there. =) I'm really intertested in hearing your comments, and I'm always excited to hear how I can do something better. So bring it on!! =)

That clasp worked out well. The spacing it gives is nice.
