You know that old thing about carrying a rabbit's foot in order to ensure good luck? Yeah ... well ... it ain't so simple. There are certain parameters to be followed ... and if they're not ... the likelihood of your rabbit's foot being effective are rather slim to none.

But there's help folks. I am here to guide you along the proper path in order to make sure lady luck follows you around for the rest of your natural born days. There are only two actions to follow ... and follow these ... and you will be blessed. Number one. You have to have the left foot of the beastie. They don't say left fore or left hind ... so I suggest you carry around one of each. And ... most important ... the rabbit that has been slain in order to acquire his appendage ... has to have been killed by a cross-eyed person during a full moon. For those who might find this last rule a bit difficult to adhere to ... I can only apologize for your difficulties ... there's no help for it ... rules is rules.

However ... here's the plus side of it all. It might pay to own a small rabbit farm ... for aside from its paws ... and the delicious flesh which can be ingested with gusto ... the fact of it all is that rabbits are a symbol of prosperity. (Think of all the rabbit's paws you are going to sell.) As an aside ... I have to ask you ... is there another creature on this earth

--other than humans--who will kill his fellow creatures in order to carry around a body part for good luck? By golly we are a creative bunch ... are we not?

I'll tell you something else ... and this is directed mostly to those of you who own boats. Seamen never say the word "rabbit" before going on board a ship. Should you find yourselves one day boarding your favorite seagoing vessel and suddenly it comes upon you to say that word ... may I suggest you find another one instead. Take heed my friends ... this is serious stuff.

And then comes the day when you fall in love. Ahh ... to but see the object of your affections while you dream. Another conundrum of life to thwart a lover's mind. But there's help around the corner. Yes there is. Take the blade bone of a rabbit ... stick nine pins into it ... and put it under your pillow. That night you will dream of your loved one. A word of caution though. Please be sure to use a rather plump pillow ... for if you are a rough sleeper ... and you are one of those who in their sleep bang their pillows about for softer consistency ... you may well end up waking abruptly and in deep pain.

There's more but I shall end it now ... for Tidbits is a rather short little thing ... and I don't want to bore. Rather ... I will show you an image of joyous little hare with chiseled gold fur and emerald eyes and a ruby nose and diamond teeth. I don't know his value ... I know not his karat. But he is a cute little devil ... er ... rabbit.

For those of you who are new to this thing called Tidbits...may I direct you to my home page at

where you will scroll down the left side menu till you get to the area that says Current Tidbits ... and then click on it in order to view an image of a joyfully dancing hare.
