Tonight

Well, another class tonight. This one is making little peyote beaded tubes to use as beads. Shouldn't be tooooo awful. The little patches we're starting with are only 6 beads wide by 12 rows deep. And I've learned to start with a striped design. I only have 3 students so I probably won't want to change my name 45 minutes after we start. ;-)

Have a good evening everyone............

Class was fun. Only two of the three actually worked on that project. The other one wanted help with a previous class. At the end of two hours, Maggie and Deb had each completed one beaded bead about ¼" in diameter and about ½" long.

Had something noteworthy happen prior to class. I left the house early enough to grab a bite to eat and get there about a half hour before class. I pull up at the store and realize my class notes are sitting on my printer. I walked in and asked the young girls at the register if one of them could get me an outside line so I could call Keith. I told him what happened and he said he'd get them for me. Within 15 minutes he was at the store with all of my notes - and never whimpered or whined about just having gotten home from work, etc. He's such a great guy! If he wasn't already married - I'd marry him! Hey wait! I already did! ;-)

I'm curious about something. Do you ever mention the knowledgeable RCB to your students?

Yes, I do. My students aren't very computer savvy but I do tell them about the wonderful group of people who are there to help, support, whatever.

Cool. Next month I'm going to bring my RCB bag to "Beaders' Day Out". Maybe I'll recruit a few ladies. :=)

Do you mention the Links List?

The reason I ask is this: I always get permission to tell the other students in every class I take about the LL. It's a big help, *especially* if one isn't computer-savvy -- it's like having a computer-beading pal take you by the hand.

I've had so many of my fellow students thank me for telling them. My LBS gives me permission to mention it. The class I took last weekend (that I've blabbed about on several threads) was in a non-bead store, and the teacher had me print out the URL of the Links List and hand it out to everyone in the class.

You know - that's a good idea! Forgive me for not having thought about doing that beforehand.
