Vessels and stoppers...

I hope someone can help me... I've thought of beading vessels, I have some little glass vials but no stopper for them. I've tried polymer clay as a stopper, but I don't like the look (and it may react to an oil if the vessel is used for that). Does "cork clay" that is used for PMC actually dry into real cork? Do you think it would be feasable to try it for a stopper on the vessel? From jewelry mag articles I've read it air dries, but does it retain it's shape and not crumble? Any advice is welcome!

Thanks!

is a link on the page for the corks - $2 for 12I'm looking through my stuff... seems I read about alternative stoppers, butI can't remember where or what the alternative was! The article waspublished in Corina's first newsletter, so it may have been there... I justcan't find the newsletter right now! ~Julie

Just zipped through it to look. There were alternative stoppers mentioned (and a nifty way to do the "ground glass" effect) but no other non-lampworked alternatives.

Reminds me, I have to do a vessel for a swap, deadline is Friday. Eeek!

When I first got the vials I looked there for stoppers, and they didn't have the correct size. I've also gotten tiny corks from Wal-Mart and trimmed them to size, but they crumbled. Thanks for the link though, I'll check again and see if they got anything new in from the last time I looked.
