Can someone help a friend out

She needs a site to go to, to learn about crocheting. She'd need good instructions and pictures. I can't help her right now because she's going back up to school. Thanks, Carol In WI

You might also want to go low-tech and buy her a (gasp!) book! There are several different "Learn to Crochet" booklets on the shelves in the hobby and craft stores, not expensive, and easy to mail.

Carol,

These are two sites I've used. One has a dictionary of the stitch terms and how to do them and the other will walk you through doing the stitches with pictures.

It's late afternoon here now.... we've had a south wind for a day, the thermometer has crept up and what little snow is left, is melting. And that's just fine with me. Everything is brown. I left the down filled jacket in the closet today and went out in my jersey lined hooded jacket.

Yesterday I found some cut up turkey in the freezer (probably from last Christmas), so today made a big pot of turkey stew. It was yummy - with potatoes and carrots from the garden and onions and broccoli from the store. ;>)

I have all this wonderful new yarn calling to me, but I have to be strong and keep working on the Christmas shawl and sweater. I finished the first sleeve last night and am well into the second sleeve. (yay!) Soon, I'll be sewing it together and will be able to add it to my FO's.
