No fair, there is none for the rest of us. That is gorgeous. Any idea about what it is going to be? DA
It's supposed to be sock yarn, but I'm thinking a scarf. Since it's 100% merino - it wouldn't wear worth a darn as socks. Plus I have a gazillion pairs of socks, and only 4 or 5 scarves.(grin)

And why should you even try???

Hmmm, maybe I'll get some next summer for socks.

Ooooh, Clapotis!

That seems to be the "in" thing now. I have to think about it.

They have been since the pattern came out. They're very versatile - scarf, shoulder wrap, head covering...

I have the pattern printed out. I'll have to check it for yardage. There is nowhere on the Fleece Artist label that mentions the yardage in the skein. I'll have to email them and ask about it.

Or you could do a search for it; one of the sites that sells it is bound to have the yardage in the description.

That's beautiful! I just finished working with some Fleece Artist Merino socks for DH and I love the stuff. I used a color called Ebony, so it was just dark brown/black/cream, but fine for a guy. I love the way that stuff knits up.

Thanks. Believe it or not, I had been to their website looking for the info, but couldn't find it. Duh. I guess I need new glasses (grin)

Heh, I nearly overlooked it. It was the 325 m that I missed at first.

Hi
Newbie here...this is probably a really dumb question... :o(
I saw your reference to Shelagh Shawls and wondered what this referred to? A type of shawl...a designer...a website? Couldn't find anything specific on search...could you please enlighten me?
Thanks!

Willi, "Shelagh" is the person Mirjam was answering. She just left out the usual comma after the name. The capital letters on Shawls and Must is for emphasis. This is a cosmopolitan group with people from all over the world, so you have to be a little flexible about the details of how things are written (and also watch out for typographical errors).
Welcome to the group.

Ah...the vagueries of communication and our 'reactions' to that which is written. After reading your response I felt that perhaps you might have thought I was being 'uppity'. Far from the truth, I was simply looking for a peek at a pattern that someone loved.
Sorry if offended anyone...

Nope, you didn't... I'm constantly amazed at the number of people from other parts of the world who can communicate in English when it's at best a second language to them! Hooray for them, and I thank them all for making the effort. I can barely read and speak French, but that's it for a second language for me (smile)
Regarding the "Shelagh Shawl", Tamar pointed that one out, but a U.S. knitting friend of mine sent me a pattern for the "Shelagh Cardigan"..... since the spellling of my name is not that common, I think she felt I should have the pattern. Go here to have a look:
I agree for sure! My favourite shawl these days is the pink one from the very fine laceweight yarn - it's lightweight but warm when I need it. I love to wrap up in it on the couch with a book, and a blanket over my legs, with the thermostat turned down, and the woodstove casting a lovely warmth.
