I bought fabric

I've been dreaming over this fabric line for a couple months now

and decided at 2a.m. this morning to stop drooling and start buying. I did it.I've never bought an entire line before, usually only a set of FQs ifI'm getting matching fabric, or a focus piece and a couple extras togo with.

This time I just went whole hog. I found another site that had several pieces for $1 less per yard and bought what I could there. Then I finished off at Fabric Shack (NAYY). I got the border print in two colors, and then four matching pieces, each in two colors. I didn't get FQs or even halfs. The smallest I got was a yard, largest was 3 yards.

I'm so excited. I did it, all at once. And it will be here soon. I don't know what I'm going to make, maybe something as silly as Warm Wishes (my actual favorite quilt pattern) or I have one called Twist Around the Garden. I like that. Simple but elegant. I am not into highly complex patterns. I love to look but I am quite realistic about my abilities.

This evening I'm going to sandwich up a hug quilt going out to an online friend. I was going to start quilting tomorrow, but I'm helping a friend most of the day.

Anyway, maybe I'll have happy dance news in afew days and maybe I'll just sit here and wallow in my new fabric.

having a closeout sale. I went browsing, and my habit is to put stuff I like in my shopping cart as I go thru an online store. When I've had my fill of browsing, I go to the cart and start removing stuff. Sometimes I end up with a few pieces that I really want and order, often I decide I don't really want any of it. This time I decided to just go with it. I have two new pieces of quilt batting coming (types I haven't tried before). Some batiks, as I've seen a pattern that would work up wonderful for my oldest DS in batiks. A floral (roses) and some coordinates that would work well in another pattern I had been looking at, and a couple of patterns. It will take a couple of weeks for this stuff to get to me in Canada. I'm just twitching to wallow in it all. VBG Marilyn in sunny, back to normal temps Alberta, Canada

It's called Full Sun -- daisies or sun flowers or asters, I can't tell which. But I'm in love. I'm getting the blue background and the cream background. I can't wait. Oh, and a yard od the silhouette fabric with little scotty dogs all over it.

Isn't it fun?

Good for you! You deserve a reward -how about some more fabric? ;-) I love it when people buy more than a yard! Roberta in D, Queen of the Scrap Heap

You know, Fabric.com sends 37" when you order a yard.

And we all know how important that extra inch can be.

Yes, Irene, I do have plans. I plan to wallow in my gorgeous fabric for a while, then fondle it, then look lovingly at it. Then I'm pretty sure it's going to be the twisted garden pattern, with one or two slight variations. Did I ever say that I can't follow directions? Not just quilting, I can't follow a recipe either. >BEG<
