Yeah - they should never have changed it. And their search engine blows. I tried searching for dark lavender transparent moretti and got all kinds of crap. The dark lavender was pages and pages away. Silly. But I like their store in Shelton - lots of cool stuff there. :)

I've heard bad things about CRLoo. If we can do a bulk purchase from Frantz, that would be fine.
As a newbie to glass I couldn't figure out their website to save my life. It was a nightmare. That's why I don't even look there anymore.
mins from there :) You can come and hang out with me :) <
Now THAT is a cool incentive, thanks!!!!

Any time... I have floor room for 1-2 ppl also :)
Mostly the translucents devit on me. But I do have a bad habit of working too close to the torch.
I wonder if they are selling patent leaf, which is actually adhered to one of the pages in the book. This makes it easier for gilding, but impossible for glass. It's really weird, I don't doubt what anyone is saying, but I have had more trouble over time with Frantz and Arrow Springs that with Sundance and CRLoo. Which seems to be the opposite of other's experiences.
Starlia, if you're at all interested in playing with Bullseye, email me your address!
Their website is absolutely horrific, isn't it? I've emailed them some really specific suggestions (and referred them to my husband, who specializes in programming online vending systems!) but got no response. It's frustrating sitting next to a guy who says "yeah, that would be pretty easy" about the changes, but having them remain absolutely oblivious!
I wish they would update stock availability online more frequently. I always order online (in the middle of the night when the kids are asleep) and about a quarter of my order is always out of stock.
However, they have the best service I've ever experienced, and in all the years I've ordered from them, I've never had even one rod arrive broken. I will continue ordering online, because they will only have the incentive to change if it's being used (and complained about by the people who use it).
I was thinking this about some people's very different airline experiences, also. Some folks were happy, some frustrated and disappointed.
I guess it is worth remembering that doesn't take more than one bad experience to make people dubious about an enterprise for a long time to come. Enough to send them away so they never have a chance to have a -good- experience to counter-balance the bad one...

actually - I use patent leaf ..... it's a learned technique -(must be very, very fast and not catch the paper on fire!) Tthat's for sure -but, once you get the hang of it - much better than trying to deal with a leaf that's blowing around due to the heat convection currents coming off a hot bead!
If you've never had trouble with CR LOO I want to know what your talisman or lucky spell is.... LOL (of course - then again, I'm assuming you never tried to buy satin glass from them ... LOL)
