What do you do? *with beads*

Make them out of glass. Gaze at them lovingly. Drool all over them. :) On occasion, I have been known to peyote and ndebele stitch. I also string and embroider if I ever have the time.

I mostly weave them. I'm a seed bead junkie to say the least:-) My latest craze is freeform abstract beading. I do some stringing as well. My faves are Czech pressed glass shapes in as many colors asd I can get:-) Tried a lampwork class once, but although interesting it wasn't my cup of tea, so the only time I actually MAKE bveads is with wire and the twist and curl tool. I covet them all kinds, lampworked, glass, crystal and poly. I pretend to make beads with the polyclay but so far I wont admit to owning them. I would love to learn lampworking but its not in the budget. I would love to buy more beads but alas being unemployed I cant buy to many. I must get a job to support the bead habit. IM trying to really I am. Penny

I do primarily bead weaving so my major stash is seed beads. I do some polyclay when I'm in the mood. I buy lampwork and hoard them like a magpie. MINE MINE MINE!

Buy them, make them into loads of different things, and then give the completed objects away. I also collect African trade beads in a minor way - they speak to me when I hold them. As my heath improves, I want to get back to making my historic reproductions.

I keep finding new things to do every day. :-)

Making friends with beads is about the top of the list, though.

I collect them en masse. I make all types of jewelry with them...I love peyote bracelets. I teach how to make jewelry with them.

I tried (I use that term LIGHTLY) to make beads....and now I have some pretty globs of glass sitting on my work table!

I use them in my jewelry. I occasionally make some glasss ones, tho I don't have much time for it so I'm not very good. I use a lot of beads in my goblets. Mostly Aust. crystal and gemstones there.

Ooo! I like this question. Let see...I make them (polyclay), I string, beadweave, bead crochet (yay, I'm so proud of that one, thanks Linda2 & Colette!), and some day plan to knit with them too. Oh yeah...I collect them and say "some day I'll use this with the perfect accent beads".

I'm still exploring, but I've been adding to my collection of lampwork, have done a bit of experimenting with bead weaving and making polyclay beads. Mostly, I just like playing with them. I enjoy working with wire and beads the most. It makes me feel powerful to know that I can create something beautiful that will bring a smile to someone's face.

Ooh, good question, and I'm really enjoying reading all the answers.

Lessee...bead and wire crochet; some beadweaving, on and off-loom; lots of stringing necklaces and bracelets; make lots of earrings; and now I'm making my own beads with polyclay and turning those into jewelry. I use some cheapie lampwork as embeds in gel candles.

And when I'm feeling stumped for ideas of what to make next, I pull everything out of the drawers and reorganize them (sometimes I do that just for fun, too).
