Attn: MOOie

Hello there ... went to the show at Ally Pally today and absolutely fell in love with the Babylock Evolve. The price they were asking wasn't too good though - started off at £1299 and after some haggling got it down to £1099 with £100 worth of accessories. It still sounded too high for me so I didn't buy it - just as well because my local dealer is selling it for £984 and still with the free accessories. Only trouble is, he's out of stock at the moment, but only a 2 week wait until he gets some more. Going to try GUR tomorrow as well as a few others that advertise in Sewing World to see if I can get a better deal, if not I'll have to put up with the 2 week wait. Thanks again for all your advice. Take care. Kind regards

So glad you had a fab day, do tell GUR the dealers price local to you to give them chance to beat. DO AVOID SEWERS & KNITTERS in WARWICK though, They used to advertise in Sewing World. Had nothing but hassle with them over the brother machines that were faulty. Took my cash easy when selling to me, but took a month + loads of nastiness off the owner to get it back even though Brother told them to refund. I know after asking in the group back then I was not the first to have had this trouble with them. Think of all the fabric searching, cutting out and planning that two weeks will give you, Good luck :@)

Hi Liz So glad Sewing World recommended them, they are wonderful. A lady from Scotland has emailed me this afternoon to say she got a good deal from him the other day after seeing the recommendation in here. Good luck with the new machine shopping. Best Wishes Mooie
