Best stabilizer for bib

Mar 06, 2009 1 Replies

Can anyone tell me the best stabilizer to use for applique on a cotton interlock bib --- cut-away or tear-away? Also, if I were to use cut-away, does anyone have any good ideas for covering up the stabilizer on the back of the bib? Thanks.

When I embroider teeshirts I use a thin tearaway at the back, and a soluble stabiliser on the front. It works well, as then the interlock material doesn't stretch or slip. If the bib has a woven backing, you need only the solvy on the front, unless it is still flimsy.
