BMP to Tajima conversion

Can someone covert a BMP or AI file for me?

TIA

They can't really be converted Troy.

Adobe Illustrator is a "vector" image and the BMP isn't. Once you have the bitmap open in Illustrator, it has to be manually traced.

Depending on the complexity of the image, this could take a few minutes or hours.

There is some software on the internet that give you a head start but they have to be manually cleaned up before you do use it within any embroidery package.

I have an eps file. Someone said to me I needed to convert to BMP to get it converted to Tajima..

Not necessarily. Some digitizing programs accept .eps directly. Any that accept .bmp will also accept .jpg (but for some reason, not .gif) files.

And if necessary, the conversion from a vector image (such as eps/ai/cdr/svg) to a raster image (bmp/jpg/tif) at any given size is quite easy and straightforward. The other direction is much more involved.
