Janome 300E

I am very new to machine embroidery, I have been a quilter for many years, but am now looking to expand the type of work I do.

I am waiting delivery of the Janome 300E machine and would welcome any hits tips etc from those of you who have this machine...... I am very much a novice.

I live in England, in the Midlands, married with 4 children + a step son and 112 grnadchildren, soon to be 13........

OH girl you are going to have so much fun..... But may I suggest that you join us on the 300e group at snipped-for-privacy@yahoogroups.com We have such wonderful people there that can help you through all the first hurdles with this model. And there are files and photos to get you going too. Please come, introduce your self and have a great time. All the members there except a couple who just advertise their designs (we are a tolerant bunch too) have this machine and were right where you are once. Hope to see you soon.

G'day Anne

I was going to mention the same group as Sally has, so come on in you'll get all the help you'll ever need as lots of newbies have joined recently and there is a wealth of information in the last few weeks.

Congrats on the machine too!! I think you've made a wise decision buying the 300E because it can be doing your embroidery while you continue to sew on your other machine and the embroidery is just superb. Usual Janome quality that we've all come to know!

While you are waiting for your machine to arrive you can be downloading free designs and getting everything ready so you can start embroidering the minute it hits your sewing table.

Great machine, great group. Love my 300e. I added it to my Pfaff

7570 as I was terribly disappointed in the new Pfaff machines of the past 4-5 years. I wanted a stand alone embroidery machine, so I could sew and embroider at the same time. Last christmas I used both machines to do several designs of the same pattern. Equally excellent on both machines. So far no problems except it is so much simpler to operate than the Pfaffs I create my own problems. ;-))
