for those of you who were interested in the new Janome embroidery only machine I have just come out of the dealers with further information on the machine. and a proper pic straight out of the janome leaflet, but my scanner isnt fantastic! In the UK the price tag is £699 the machine will be upgradable through software. there was speculation when i first posted about this machine about how the designs are got to the machine. you will need a compact flash card ( the ones used in digital cameras) and to write to the card you need a card reader /writer, you can obtain them cheaply from 6 quid and then you need the pcmcia card adaptor to use the compact flash card in the machine.( jessops 8.99 but you can get them cheaper I just wasnt sure I was buying the correct thing so I bought mine from where i knew I could take it back if I got it wrong.) I didnt wait for this machine to become available, I have bought the ex demonstration mc 10000 but I also needed all the same items to get the designs to that machine, you can get it for under 20 pounds. as far as necessary software goes, Im still not sure on that one as I dont pick my machine up until tomorrow afternoon. My dealer operates delivery and is taking orders for the machines now.

Will the 300E also be able to take the same design cards as the 10000 does or does one have to download all the designs from the internet?
