Just Checking...

I have a Husqvarna Platinum Plus machine and both the Husqvarna Customizing and Digitizing software programs. This weekend I tried to take an existing .hus design and modify it. (I wanted to split a bouquet of flowers into their component blooms and rearrange them.) I tried both programs and was unsuccessful. A check on the Husqvarna website indicates that I need a third program Stich Editor (?) to modify an existing design.

Am I reading this right? And, if so, do you have any idea how much this new item will set me back?

Thanks in advance, Rhino7

I think it's $160-190 USD. And yes, you are likely to need to the stitch editor to recreate the stitches. But I would try to give it a go in digitizing. Check the advanced tutorial section and see if you find something similar to what you are trying to do.

Otherwise, the whole embroidery system, which resizes, digitizes, splits, stitch edits, customizes, cross stitchs, converts, reads, writes etc., will set you back $2000 USD. If you upgrade to the 3D studio, you'll get credit for your existing software programs. Saw it over the weekend. Amazing system.

Good luck, A-M

I guess i'm just too lazy to recreate it in Digitizing. I have a bunch of other stuff to work on first, and I thought I should be able to split designs (like I can split clip art in Power Point et al).

Oh well. Thanks for the pricing info.

It's only money, Rhino7
