Russian Nesting Doll

Does anyone know of a site that has an embroidery of a russian nesting doll? Annthegran has 2 but they are about 7 inches and I need it no larger than 4 inches.

Thanks in advanced

Not offhand - but if you're doing any searches, the dolls are called Matryoshka

Different places also transliterate it into English as Matrushka, Matroshka, or Matrioshka

(in addition to "Nesting Dolls")

Googling for Matryoshka Embroidery, I did find this one person in Russia who does both the dolls and embroidery ...

it's a VERY slow site .. I didn't have the patience to see if she does any cross-over embroideries of Matryohska dolls... None of the other embroidery/Matrxxxshka combinations found anything useful - just lots of places that sell both.

You could resize the ones you found, but it would take quite a bit of work.

narod.ru is one of the slowest hosts in the Russian net (it is free), sorry. And that web-site is the webpage of the artist who paints actual matryoshkas, there is nothing about embroidery there. And a quick search on the runet didn't yield any embroidery results.

Tatiana,

Thank you for checking the site for the embroidery. I thought something was wrong with my cable connection when the site loaded so SSSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWWLLLLLYYYYY. You must be one very very patient lady!

Hi Debbi, I found the free ones on AnnTheGrann's website. I'm guessing that you must have a 4 " hoop. I resized it for you.

Funny you should say that - Advanced embroidery has a beautiful set (but they ARE 4" x 7" - worth looking at though!
