help with free designs

Nov 11, 2003 6 Replies

I am looking for a simple design of a cross, about 2 X 2 inches. I have searched Annthegran and haven't come up with a suitable design.

Has anyone had problems with the way free designs sew out? I tried one design, although it was a little bigger than I need, but it didn't sew out well at all. I am a newbie, so I tried sewing it out several times with different stablilizers. I was very disappointed.

Can you point me to other sites with free designs?

Thanks in advance.

There are many free design sites. You might search on Yahoo or google. You should also sign up for Embroidery Billboard. They send an E-mail notice when new designs are posted from a big group of designers. HTH, Nana

Where do I go to sign up for the Embroidery Billboard?

Thanks.

Many of them are digitized by amateurs........and do not sew out well......you take that chance with free designs. Some are just fine. I do better with purchased designs.

There are many really beautiful crosses at

if you would like to look at them. I am not affiliated----just a happy user of their designs.

Just sign up here. There are alot of designs available in the archives. Good luck!

Thanks, Pat.

I went to their site and found several that I think will work just fine and each of them is only $1.00! I will see which one my friend wants to use (the project is for her church and I am helping her out).
