Thread nest problem.

Sep 24, 2007 2 Replies

Hi everyone- I m using a Bernette 340 Deco(now made by 'jancome' thats the name on the plate on the inside of the machine spelt?)

Just today I have been getting these huge thread nests that clog the process and I cant figure out what I should be looking for.

I changed the needle three times, changes the bobbin twoce, adjusted the tension up and down and it just seems to get worse.

should I bring it in to get serviced? its only 8 months old.

You didn't say if you re-threaded the top thread. Usually this sort of problem is from threading the top thread with the presser foot DOWN. Try re-threading it with the presser foot UP.

5 foot 2

THANKS SO MUCH! it worked! I cant believe something as simple as HOW i was threading it made all the difference!

Got a whole lot to learn! thank you thank you!
