Glass for Leaded Lights?

Hi,

I am looking into doing some leaded lights/copper foil work, but the price of the glass seems to vary quite a lot, some of it appears to be rather expensive. So do any of you know where the best prices are in the UK. I live in the middle of East Anglia if that helps?

TIA

I live just outside Norwich and go to Trinity Stained Glass in Ber Street, Norwich. Good selection of glass. Sale glass as well. I've never needed to go mail order If you're in the city it's worth a visit. I think they have a web site

Thanks for the replies, I have had a look at both of the web sites. Seems the best way is to get to the shop for the sale/best prices

Hi Maurice

As an alternative to Temspford (who have a very large stock and fast mail-order, by the way) - try Trinity Stained Glass in Ber St, Norwich (just up from John Lewis - park in JL's Car Park).

Glass prices vary greatly - from £3.20 to £18.00 in the Trinity Catalogue - but many of the glass shops have a 'sale rack' - where I've found glass as low as £2 per sheet..... you pays your money & you takes your choice

Have fun!

Maybe it's a personal thing - but I hate having anybody else choose my glass for me. I'd much rather see it in my hand, then I know for sure what I'm buying - rather than ending up with what the supplier wants to sell me
