Putting laminate on tempered glass?

Apr 02, 2004 1 Replies

Hi there. I have a modern style office desk set that uses tempered glass as the desktop surfaces. I want to replace the glass with a laminate surface. Is it possible to add a laminate on top of the tempered glass or would that be just plain dumb. :)

I appreciate any feedback!

There should be no problem putting laminate on a glass surface using ordinary contact cement. However, laminate is normally trimmed after application with a router bit with a guide wheel and I am not sure I would want to be in the room if anything went wrong.
