There were a couple more, but I forget. Need to defog the mind!
Well, several of mine are waiting for "finishing" too. The BOAF piece is giong to be a long wait, because I want to have all four framed at the same time so they match!
My excuse is my slump of depression, and $$. But, I think I'll do the soft finishing this weekend at sometime. I've planned sewing machine time, so can get a couple of them done in that push. Basically - I'm a slug and I have to admit it.
Framing - ugh. Fortunately I have a gift certificate that will take care of the first $100 for the Amethyst Dreams piece. Then we'll see how much more
- with luck I might be able to work off some of it (since I use the framer where I worked and am planning to teach some there). But, otherwise...we'll see.
I think I'm finished with gifts for a while, the latest being Oriental Fan from Dimensions, and now I'm looking forward to doing some of my own things now. Drawn Thread Toccata and Lora Perin's Flying Geese have been sitting impatiently at the top of the heap just waiting for me to start them and the other odds and ends that I've started and put aside are stashed away where I don't have to see them and feel guilty about not working on them.
In the meantime, I'll put together the little sweater today and most probably I'll just start the tiny little Sweetheart Tree Think Snow piece to get back into the groove.
Oh yes, at some time I'll probably want to do the turtles that are going to come here to roost (do turtles roost or do they nest?)
Do you mean the Quaker Turtles by Ellen Chester? I'm working on them now. It's a slow process as they are done over one on 32ct! Putting them together might also be a challenge!
I think they would 'nest'. They look really cute in their little basket in the photo!
That's the one. It looks like a fun project that can be done as a fill in since all the pieces look little. I can't wait to see it.
Of course turtles nest. I shouldn't have had to think about that. There's a tremendous fuss made in this area when the endangered turtles lay their eggs in the sand. They are guarded over and people hold parties when the eggs hatch and a good time is had by all.
