Anyone heard of Bookswim?

Hey,

Slightly off-topic: I found an awesome Christmas gift. This site BookSwim

formatting link
rents books like Netflix rents movies and they sell gift memberships.

Sounds like a thoughtful reader- gift, without needing to worry that I bought someone the same books as last year (groan).

Anyone tried it?

I hope you can find someone who has used this, or a really good evaluation of it. It sure looks interesting.

Cool idea, although it would be expensive. I checked into it. For 3 books at a time, it's $9.95 for first month, $23.95 every month thereafter (of course, if you want more books, it's more...up to $59.95). Granted, books weigh more than dvds......they pay postage both ways. Might be a good idea for someone home-bound, though.

Libraries are still free! :)

Our library has people who will bring books to the homebound, and return them.
