Christmas gift

Our children always go together to get DH and me a really nice gift. This year they gave us a lap top. Now when we go to the cottage i'll be able to keep up with the group. My eye surgeon also gave me a really nice Christmas gift. I went back to see him this morning and I only need to use reading glass. He was very surprised when I told him I only need them for really small print and I use them when using my power tools, a sewing machine and serger. Don't get much better than that for 77 year old eyes. Juno

Thanks Polly. I've worn glasses since I was 12. I was told before I had the cataracts done I would still need to wear glasses since I opted out of getting the lenses for astigmatism. I think the doctor is as surprised as I am. Now I just have to go to the Motor Vehicle office and get that restriction taken off my license. Then I can drive legally. I haven't taken the car out since the day before I had my first eye done Juno

WOOT!!!

DOUBLE WOOT!!!!!!!!!

Awesome news from the eye surgeon!! And you will looooove the laptop!

I got many wonderful presents, but the one to tell the group is that I got Embird as one of my presents. :) I played with a demo of it a while back (thank you Beverly for telling me about that.) Since I liked it so much, my sweet DH ordered it for me. :)

Yay for Mike!!! I think you'll get a lot of use from Embird, I open it almost as often as the PSW software for my machine.

I am VERY excited about it. :) Now I just have to get all my other projects out of the way so I can play with it some more. lol
