Baltimore Album Quilts

Same price as the place I just ordered it from - of course I had to pay for the postage, but it`s still cheaper than driving over just for a roll. Thanks for the info though - it could be useful if Jane runs out of it. With any luck I may end up with at least a quilted cushion or two, specially if I get called in to do the designs - she can`t draw for nuts!

Carolyn`s daughter is doing a small quilt based on my cross stitch design of the Ferryboat Inn down here - she sent me a picture of it half done and it looks great. I do wish I could still do quilting myself. I wonder if I can persuade Jane to do a block of my Suffolk Punch design, come to think of it.

I just visited the Quilter`s Haven website, and they have some lovely bits and pieces - ideas for Christmas if Jane really gets into it!

I only visited the Quilter`s Haven when they first open, to get some threads - and at that time they didn`t have anything I needed, and were still not sure where anything was anyway!

Did you know it when it was still the Grocer`s shop? We used to love it then, and combined a visit to it with a stock-up of sausages from Revetts.

John has to lie still?? I was very mildly sedated (Valium I think) for my cataract surgery, so lying still wasn't a problem. I think the left eye may be approaching "time' so will get that done his year.

happy easter ( yup it is over the pond).

Love

Oh yes, they told him he has to lie perfectly still for 40 minutes, and he can`t even speak. They told him they`ll have a nurse hold his hand throughout so he can squeeze it if he is in any trouble!!! I bet he can put up with that for 40 minutes! LOLOL! He`s most worried about wanting to pee, as he`s on diuretics and can`t go for long (Particularly when you`re lying there THINKING about it!)

Happy Easter to you too - whenever yours is. Our clocks just went forward an hour. Groan. An hour`s less sleep.

Glad you are all sorted out. I try to combine visits to QH with a hair appointment, but do find myself there on extra visits. They've just expanded the shop and seem to be doing very well. I've done a few courses there too and really enjoyed them. I've done a king size quilt which I really must finish (its 99% done but seems to have stuck). Ive just got a new sewing machine so really must finish it. At the moment I'm mass producing quilted cushion covers from printed designs that I inherited from my sister (she seemed to collect them!) Then they can go as offerings to the various organisations Spring Fayres, Christmas markets, etc. I'm having a blitz on them to try out the new machine and clear some space. Then I'll have a little stock ready instead of a last minute rush. That is this weekends task!. I have 10 cushion insides waiting for them . I bought 5 pillows for £1 each in Ikeas sale, cut them in half and machined - voila - cushion insides for 50p each. - and the covers came free.

Bed time now I think - will suffer tomorrrow with the change of clocks.

Probably, but it`s nothing like greaseproof paper - it`s more like the white butchers paper/fish and chip paper we get here in the UK, but has plastic on one side. Anyway it comes in 50 ft rolls, about 18" wide, if you can get it. You iron your cut out fabric onto it, having traced your design on it first, then cut it out and you can then peel it from the fabric quite easily.
