Beatles to be reformed?

I've heard rumours that the Beatles are going to reunite and record a new album, but with musical cyborgs taking the place of Lennon and Harrison.

Is this true?

Ok, this is the story:

George Lucas is in a jam. He ended the Star Wars franchise?

However? He still has all this junk left over. Robots, some talented computer guys and a promotional empire few can rival - - That stuff need not go to waste!

So, he floats a trial baloon, "Return of The Empire of the '60s: Cybeatles"

I doubt his plan is for '05? He may wait the last two out...he's nothing if not patient. (He milked the first film for over 25 years!)

Follow the money. This rumor leads to Lucas.

Does anyone but me remember the report that after the original Star Wars movie, that there were to be a total of 9? Three in the middle, three prequals then three more after the original. The sequence hasn't quite followed that format, but no one is talking about nine anymore.

In one of my book groups we're still speculating about VII-IX. Of course, many of us have also read the Extended Universe novels written by Timothy Zahn, Vonda McIntyre, Kevin J. Anderson and many others, so we have some actual storylines to contemplate.
