I just checked on Amazon.com and they have the perfect thing:

200 Illustrations from Gerard's Herbal CD-ROM and Book by John Gerard There is also a reprint of the herbal The Herbal: Or, General History of Plants (Deluxe Clothbound Edition) by John Gerard, Thomas Johnson (Editor) But I think the CD would be the easiest way to get the printouts you need. Our library system here doesn't have a copy of the herbal, but if you can get into the Colonial Williamsburg library they might have one. I have a reprint copy of The Besler Florigium which has wonderful colour plates of flowers with roots, but it would be alot of work to go from the colour plate to the kind of outline you need. Did you notice the the Thomasina Beck books have a few outline drawings in them? - you could use a photocopier or scanner to enlarge them to the size you need. As I was going through my bookshelf, I also found a reprint of The Country Housewife's Garden by William Lawson, originally published in 1617, and it has 10 different parterre gardens pictured. Let me know if you want to see them.
