Looking for pattern or idea

Jun 01, 2006 1 Replies

I would like to stitch a birth sampler for a friend of mine due in September - I was thinking nursery rhyme characters. What I would really like to find is just a good picture of a bunch of them together so I can do it in redwork or other surface work. I seem to remember seeing something with the Old Woman in the Shoe surrounded by other characters - ring any bells? Coloring book, book and pattern suggestions all welcome!

Thanks.

Linda

Ted Arnold, the children's book illustrator, did a delightful book of Mother Goose nursery rhymes illustrated with stitching charts and photos of the stitching several years back. It appears to be OOP, but Barnes and Noble has some used copies available:

like *exactly* what you're looking for! good luck, Sue
