WANTED - Woodturning Books

I'm looking for copies of "Polychromatic Assembly for Woodturning" by Brown & Brown, and "Laminated Designs in Wood" by Clarence Rannefeld.

Amazon.com does not have either in stock, nor do many other book links I found on the internet. I've checked out bookfinder.com, half.com, alibris.com, and

also without success.Amazon.uk looks like it has a copy, but 6 weeks delivery --- my pastexperience with this delivery schedule is usually much longer.....I am looking for other suggestions on where I can find these in stockthat I can purchase, used or new. Also, if anyone has these books thatare used but good condition, and would be interested in selling theseto me, please email me privately. Thanks, John

Hi John, I have both and find polychromatic assembly not to be a very good book. Laminated designs however is excellent. Unfortunately it's also out of print. Have you tried contacting Lark books? The # is 828-253-0467 Worth a shot. Last month Amazon had some used copys that were going between 60-70$. If you can't find a copy wait the 6 weeks or longer. It's well worth the wait. Another alternative will be Woodturner pro.

I don't know how much biz these folks do via phone orders, but I believe I saw a copy or two at Woodcrafters in Portland, OR not too long ago - they have quite a large book section.
