Three a.m. I heard that it was safely not a sweep for the Cons. Very glad on checking just now to see Bill Casey got in with a big majority and that Elizabeth May gave daddys boy a big ride for his money ! Hope we see more of her. My riding stayed Liberal, just, but enough to block the Con which was exactly what I wanted, so I am happy. Now if Halifax elects Sheila Fougere for Mayor on the 18th I will be more than happy to come home!

Yup - wasn't that a waste of $300M? I was hoping Elizabeth May would send McKay home, but I guess it wasn't to be. She ran, as she phrased it herself, 'a joyous campaign'. We are going to see more of her.

I agree wholeheartedly. If Harper cannot get a majority after a quick election call when the Liberals had a leader people didn't "get" and the New Democrats were pretty well caught flat-footed, he won't ever get one. If he tries to pull this stunt again, he should be set adrift on an iceflow.
