Saturday a.m.

DH woke me up at 7:00 a.m. (I went to bed at 1:00 a.m.) wondering if I wanted breakfast..... so I've been up for a while, had my first cup of tea.

It's quite chilly here -14°C and supposed to get colder by Monday or Tuesday.... brrrrr. We don't have much snow yet, but as usual, it's kinda windy outside. If we're going to cut and split firewood today, we're going to have to bundle up.

I'm really pumped - I'm going out for dinner tonight with my sister and her SO, then we're off to Die Fledermaus at the concert hall. DH is not interested in opera, so he gets to stay home and do his thing.

Nothing new in knitting here - still working on the Candle Flame Shawl, plus started a new pair of socks. I'm trying a bit of a pattern on the socks instead of plain knitting, and decided there weren't enough stitches on the needles. I'm glad the pattern repeat in one row is only 10 stitches, so it was easy to add more. The pattern called for CO of only 60 stitches, and I usually CO 68, with 2.25 mm needles and sockweight yarn, so an increase to

70 stitches shouldn't be a problem for fit.

Christmas is only a month away!!! Yikes.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Shelagh
