cross stitch question

Quick question: I'm cross stitching something on 28 ct. linen that has a duck about an inch high and 1.5 inches long. I'm stitching that duck over

2, plus three more behind it over one thread in order to make babies. Should I stitch the over-one with one strand or two?? Thanks! Sara L.

It's really a matter of personal preference. I think 2 over 2 on 25 is fine, 1 over 2 on 32 is fine, and one over 1 on 20 count is fine. Someone else's idea of "full coverage" will not match mine. Or yours.

Whichever way looks best to you.

(I know, it doesn't seem like an answer, but that's really all there is to it.)

Hi Sara,

I have had no problems in stitching with 2 strands throughout on 2 count but if in doubt give it a try with one.

Kind regards

Clar
