cut work.......

Leave it to my mother and me to decide we want to learn less popular needle arts. I've been learning hardanger by reading, and now my mom wants to learn cut work. So, I want to find a decent how to book on cut work for my mom's birthday. I've been scanning amazon.com and ebay and really don't know what to look for in a book. I think I also want some patterns/transfers, but that may be even harder to come by. So, does

*anyone* here have suggestions about finding decent books on cut work as well as transfers/patterns? Her birthday is in early November so I'm hoping I've got enough time to find and obtain something helpful but not so that it will break the bank.

Thanks, in advance!

That's funny, I'd just found that site shortly before I posted! Beautiful pieces, to put things mildly. It's nice to know that some of your more experienced folks also found the site worth while.

Thanks!

Thank you. I've found it [and bought it] on ebay, new/unused, but shipping was less than the cover pub. site. I think mom will have a great time using it!

I'm glad you found it. Although I don't have that particular one, I have never yet been disappointed in a Dover publication. Please let us know how it works for you.
