Edging off topic -fabric glues - strong and water resistant

I need to patch a hockey bag - I have replacement fabric, but I really need something to bond it in places I really don't want to sew. Its cordura to cordura....

You can buy "Fabri-Tac" at a local fabric or JoAnn's place. I've used it a lot for decoration kind of things for the events stuff. It holds well, IME.

Also known as Bridal Glue which a very good friend of yours has at home as well as at work. Can help you patch it tomorrow and can get you a bottle at wholesale the next time I place and order at work. Bobbie V.

DH's metal detector bag was in really bad shape; the seams had split, and the rotting battery-juice ( can't belive he left them there) didn't add to it. Anyways, he washed it in my washing machine, and we really found the main problem was that the seams were seperating. I bought some of the fusible tape (Steam-a-seam_) from Joanns. I also bought inch wide seam binding stuff. I put a layer of the fusible stuf between one side of the bag, and the strip of binding, and ironed it. I did the same with the other side, another strip of bonding, and ironed all that on to the first chunk. Does that make sense?? I then decided since my poor sewing machine was going into the shop anyway, I stitched through all layers, just for more reinforcing. It has worked just great
