It is interesting to see how fashion and tradition work in opposing directions , but also influence each other ,, Just recieved a catalog of an Exhibition called "Global Fashion Local Tradition" Over de Globalisering van Mode [ over the globalization of Fashion] Terra, 2005. mirjam
Fashion Versus tradition

You know I never really thought about it, but when hubby and I bought the house and were deciding to paint it I discovered that paint colors actually come in and out of fashion. What's very hot right now is pale sagey greens.
Not only do they come in and out of fashion, but they're actually *planned*. Folks in industry get together and plan what the hot colors will be in 3/5/whatever years so that development efforts can be coordinated. Crazy, eh? I find it's a delicate dance staying true to my personal preferences while also updating to keep things fresh and not feeling dated. When "my" colors are in, I try to stock up on accessories I love and try to get the big ticket items that might be difficult to find when they're "out."
Best wishes, Ericka

That`s evident whenever you walk through a mall at chance of season. It is not coincidence that every store had citrus greens and turquoise last year, whether it was in clothing or home accessories or even wrapping. Dawne
It is so funny that at certain years you can buy a car with a certain color and plastic plates to match the car`s coloring .. mirjam ps fashion goes to details as dots shades etc...
