2 days ago. i was finnishing another word , on my work and i chose a very nice filling stitch which works wonderful on straight areas , but i have parts where vertical lines meet horizontal , decided to fill the horizontal in one direction the vertical in another ,,,,aha i came to the `corner` ,,, now what ????No way does this stitch `turn nicely`, why didn`t i think of THAT ??? taking the thread out ? NO ,,,, so i left the corner sides and started on the next letter ,,,,and the next and Than i got the idea , how to solve it neatly ..... In comes a Colleague ,, looks at my embroidered corner, and says , ;" Wow i never saw THIS LOVELY Corner Stitch before ?? , in Which Book did you find that ??? " i told her what happened and how being too lazy to undo it brought me to this solution ,,, She immidiately sat down and Drew it on paper , so she can use it in her work... So now we both are happy. mirjam

Sounds great. Also - have you looked at a "Sprats Head" stitch - which is a corner stitch. One side looks woven, or reversed just laid. It's a great corner solution - your stitch sounds very similar. I think there is one on the ANG stitch of the month site - ah - here's the link:

Thank you Ellice , i have never looked at this site ,,,i will now , it is always lovely and encouraging to see how somebody worked out some idea, `ONLY` with threads..... Than again i do a lot of my own ideas , that come along as i work ,, Obly yesterday i thought ofd adding 2 words on the bias ,,, thus had to work out how to embroider 2 words , again each in a slightly different stich. It is like opening a surprise envelope ,,,I think sketch a bit with pencil and paper and ......` it shows it`s face`!!!!
