First for the year Hurray!!

I just put the last stitches in my Just Nan pillow, which I started a year ago. It wasn't hard, but as always, something (or things) else got my attention, so it was in the UFO pile. I will finish another this week, and then allow myself to start a nice new design..the Bald Eagle, from RK Portfolio. She is the designer of the Anhinga you stitched, Sheena. I love her work!!

I enjoyed doing the Anhinga and just about everybody who ever sits at this desk, comments on it. It's very different.

Did you finish your east coast one ???

Nope, I was a third of the way down, but the eyes didn't match. Now I have had the second cataract surgery, I am so looking forward to finishing it!! The tartan is a bitch, though!!!

When we were gone this year I also picked up the ones covering the provinces where we were.

One of my major problems is that the house is for sale; I have to be a neatnik (???me??). I have taken over the EMIL's room, and closet, and am really organising keepers now called "Gill's workroom".

I visited my "cleaning lady" yesterday who had three way heart surgery in December, and is found to have an aneurism in the brain. I refused to let her work for me for three months, but compensated her anyway. DH doesn't need to know the in-house charitable(hate that phrase) help we give to those we care about.

I have also decided that until a "major" project is done, another "major" project will not be started. The quick and dirties are fun, and get me fired up.

I expect you are the only one, I was when the same thing happened to my wonderful cleaning lady. Oddly she had an aneurysm on her jugular which was of course inoperable and about a year later it gave. She said that it was unnerving, they had told her she would never really know but she said just the same, everytime she had a twinge she thought "Is this it?" and on balance wished they had not told her about it.
