Anyone here have experience with them? I have a project that's stitched with those and Impressions. I'm working the companion piece and noticed that the fabric no longer matches (they were of a piece when I purchased it). I'm thinking I need to wash at least the first one, though I usually don't when working with silks.
So the question is: Can I put Glorianas and Impressions through a simple cold-water wash? (Obviously hand-wash, not machine.)
Washing Gloriana silks
Gloriana silks are washable in cold water; washing instructions are on our new labels. In case the label doesn't have washing information, it is as follows: wash quickly with mild soap (such as Orvus), rinse thoroughly, and blot out all excess moisture immediately. Be sure that the rinse water runs clear before drying. Iron the piece dry using a warm, dry iron (do not use steam) placing the embroidery right side down on a clean, dry terry cloth towel and covering the wrong side with a pressing cloth. If, as you iron, you see any sign of color bleeding rinse the piece immediately and start the drying process over again. Do not leave the piece to dry overnight since it would mean you won't be around if any last moisture escaping causes color bleeding.
I didn't see anything on the Caron website about care of threads, but I know they don't recommend washing the Watercolours.

Thanks, Lynn. I didn't think to go to the GLoriana site; went to the shop from which I bought them and didn't see anything.
I think I'm probably going to have to take a chance with the Impressions, though. The difference in color between the two pieces of fabric is definitely noticeable. While they won't be hanging right next to one another, I am planning to frame them as a set. If I can't get the fabric clean, it will bother me every time I look at it!
