A search on Google using ["anna mary robertson" "grandma moses"] produced several thousand hits. I had a quick look and found these two images of her needlework:

Thank you Bruce ,. I am interested in William C. Ketchum`s quoting Jane Kallir , that GrandMa Moses` paintingwas influenced from her embroidery,,, Because many a time we see opposite descriptions. mirjam

According to her obituary in the New York Times she took up painting because arthritis had crippled her hands so that she no longer could embroider Bruce

Thank you very much , This is of special interesrt to me , because in the `conventional` art esatblishment, fiberartists haven`t yet gained a full equal place as `conventional` artists. But because the Voice is out that Fiberart Is there and should be given a chance, you will find too many Gallerists and Curators who will preffer a painter that adds some stitches or glues a piece of cloth onto his Drawing... thus i am curious about developements of artists who add to their techniques, mirjam

Bruce, If you click on the left arrow near the words "Close Window" you can view over 40 of her pictures from those links you provided. They cover quite a period of time in per career.

of course, I knew of Grandma Moses, but that was *after* I came to the US in 1961, to the New England area.

I found the info in these posts totally fascinating... wouldn't she have been a wonderful person to have a chat with??

I had never heard of her prior to that. However I was very fond of the Tate at that time! Oh, how youth knows it all LOL

Oops, my mistake. At any rate, I found them great to view in addition to her needlework(and yes, that should have read "her career" in prior post).
