And here in Orkney it is not really very nice Easter weather. Many places seeing a centimetre or two of lying snow by dawn. Winds, F6 to gale F8 N?ly at first, ease and back F5 NW?ly, to leave a drier brighter afternoon. During Saturday evening 2-3 cms of snow at low levels, with

5-10 cms possible over higher ground. Sea state ? High with a 6 to 7 metre N?ly swell. Fortunately we don't intend to travel very far, the oil tank is 2/3 full, the gas cylinders are filled, freezers are well-stocked and I've a plentiful stock of home brew Bruce

Right, but it's MARCH that comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, not winter.

BooHoo--no one seems to have noticed my disclaimer. I realized my booboo soon after I sent it.

Another senior moment to add to the long list.

Sorry! I tend to answer things as I see them instead of reading the whole thread and then going back to answer. My bad.

I'm afraid I can understand that. I'm often accused of having foot in mouth disorder because I tend to answer too quickly.

Those smiling liars on the television news have again promised a lovely sunny day tomorrow--they have promised "lovely weekends" since late February and not a one. It has snowed the last few nights---no barefoot dancing to celebrate the spring equinox here! But nothing like the horrible storms some of you are living with. Hope that changes soon. Dawne

I want the lamb part - it's then 22nd, 26 degrees, the wind howls and I'm tired of being cold.

It's very lamby here today. Was yesterday, too.

DH and I spent the day fencing in my garden and running deer netting from the outside fences, over the garden and down the new garden border fences, securing it at the bottom. About an hour after I got done, I went to let the boys out and there stood Czar, in my garden UNDER the deer netting. Damned if I know how he got in. He came out when I yelled - straight up in the air, taking about 30 feet of deer netting with him. Didn't hurt himself, but I'm hoping it was an extremely traumatic experience for him and that he'll think twice about going back in there. Rehung the deer netting and blocked the spot where I think he might have gotten in after having a little fit at my tenant. *sigh*

My bet is that the deer will be back. They love to eat gardens. Jim.

No deer. I live in the city. Czar is a Siberian Husky and stubborn.

Wasn't bad on the Cape yesterday.

Poor dog, needs a more watchful owner.

Hmmmpf. Poor owner might need a new apartment if she's not more watchful.

That's tough - I'd allow animals but she may not like the commute... C

I wouldn't wish her on you. Beast howled all evening tonight.
