Not knowing the size...

I had someone, who has one of those programs where they can scan a picture and make a cross stitch graf out of it, the question is, how do I figure out the size of the aida cloth, to achieve the size that I'd want? I don't remember how many squares per inch to determine the size, any ways I think that's how it's figured out. Thanks, Carol In WI P.S. We are getting more that just a tropical heat wave here in Wisconsin.

It totally depends on what count of Aida you are planning to use. If you are using 14-count Aida, then you would have 14 stitches per inch.

Count the number of stitches for the width and height of the chart. Count from the farthest left stitch to the farthest right for width; count from the highest up to the lowest down for height.

Divide these figures by the count of your Aida. For example: If the chart is 196 stitches wide by 210 high and you are us> I had someone, who has one of those programs where they can scan a picture
